" Teamwork is essential, Leadership is vital..."
I can conclude that this week brought me a great sense of satisfaction as this was the second time I was able to come up with a plan and create something from scratch into something that is incredible. Exuberant is the word to describe my feelings.

We were again told to embellish our classroom into a unique environment for us to study and that reminds me of the incident last year, about the class decoration designed and constructed by Derek. His idea was to use ice-cream sticks to form letters and motivating words, and state our profiles with coloured papers of myriad colours but no long later that disaster struck. Many pieces were detached as some came loose, while some were deliberately tore down by malicious people, and the classroom seemed disfigured, which brought turmoil as everyone was dismal when their money they invested went down the drain.

So me, being the considerate guy, came up with the theme and sketched the design, which I long wanted to have for a classroom, so that everything would be well planned and history shall not repeat itself, making the ending a "happily ever after..." Mr Hamilton, the ever-so altruistic and benevolent, dug out the money for the materials and I appointed Yi Chun to buy the necessary materials. We were told that Friday would be the dateline and time is running short...

To complete on time, work started yesterday as Wen Ping, Yi Chun, Stanley and Me stayed back after school, drawing, cutting, pasting all over the place as the the minute hand went round the clock. Beads after beads of perspiration trickled down our temples and dripped onto the cemented floor, leaving dark wet patches. We were half done when we decided to pack up and leave, and with my precise calculations, we would make it on time.

- The first day : only half done... -

We continued today with more people coming to help us along as trust is being gained. More hands, faster rate with individuals doing different respective jobs and soon the classroom had a new make-over. Charming and enjoyable room. It was then that one of my friends from another class passed-by, telling me the dateline is on 28 February and it is 21 January today. So, we are more than a month ahead of the dateline. Nevertheless, I was proud of my ingenious idea that created this "beachy" theme, which was akin to what I expects and I now hope that our efforts would be recognised and our decorations would be voted for the best.
It was overall demanding to make but this proofed that with determination, we were able to overcome the difficulty and complete the challenge. Unremarkable! Impossible is nothing!

- What it looks like now. Beautiful isn't it? -
